Camp Manitou Relflection

 

On Friday we went on Camp Manitou. We are Separated into groups. My group went to Alien Invasion its an activity where you have to protect the Baby aliens by making a rocket ship that would protect the baby alien. We went until the second last bleacher and my baby alien popped its brains and guts out of it. We had lunch after the first activity. I sat with my friends and we ate junk foods because we all brought chips and chocolate and crackers. After we had lunch we went on Archery and I had two bulls eyes a lot of mosquitoes on me. We went biking on really hard rain and we got stuck on mud and people got really wet. We went to drama and we did a skits one of our skits is about James Bond in the zoo which is really funny and weirdness it is about a student and a really boring teacher and we used a tea spoon as a pencil. We all went home dirty and happy it was a really fun experience....

Mean Girls Reflection

We went to the Mean Girls play in the Maples school. The play looks like the movie but without the actors. We were in a big theater were we watch the clue. I saw a few friends while were watching the play.. When the lights go down we hear rumbling sounds as the people change sets. When they announced the plastics the girl who played Regina was staring at me and I was laughing so hard.. My favourite part is how they turned the movie into the stage because they really did a good job of acting and their props. I think that this play/movie reflects about bullying and how they lead to all of this. I really want to watch the movie again to compare how was it done in the movie than in the play. I really liked the casting decisions and the lines that they have and they have less course language. I wish we have more plays to see from them because they are really good and nice :p..

Every Thrusday we have a session called YPBP we are split in to two groups one of us will stay in the classroom and the other group  will go to the library. Every Thrusdays we will go in our groups. Our group will play games and sometimes they will let us choose their activities for the next week...Today we were with Paige and Jeff we played with a tarp and we have to guess who is in the other side of the tarp...We played turn the other side of the tarp blue it took us 4 time to turn the silver tarp to blue.. We played the yarn game and the introducing game and silent ball.. Today was pretty fun and exciting.

Math

On Math we are doing Fractions,Problem solving and Turining mixed numbers to improper fractions. On Fractions we are doing Adding/Subtracting Fractions. Adding Fractions are easy because Mr.Harding has found a new way to do Adding Fractions easy he showed us the cross multiplying method.Mr.Harding teach us the subtracting fractions it was hard but Mr.Harding said that it takes time to get used to.Mr.Harding showed us other multiplying methods like: Array.cross multiplying,traditional and lettice method these are the methods that Mr.Harding showed us.We are doing Problem solving Hes been giving us mental math problems to start working on our problem solving skills.

Social Studies

On Social Studies we did the Amazing race project.We did our own Amazing Race in the school my teamates are Joyze,Kloie and Trisha.. the dream team made it at first amd we made it last but thats okay its just a game.Today we are doing Africa we did the clothing of Africa,Recipies and masks. On the clothing of Africa i did South Africa,Ethiopia and Egpyt. On the recipies iam making a Morrocan steak with roasted pepperrr and hope it turns out great. On the masks I am working with Kloie and our mask is almost done we are just colouring our masks using oil pastels. We did our own earth map in Social Studies I was working with Jessica.We have to find the cities/Countries the hard one that we have is to find cape of good hope...

ELA

On ELA we did our bucket list on the blog. Bucket list is when you put your 100 things that you want to do before you die I made silly and serious thing like helping others and jumping on things. Today we are doing Lit circles its like a book club but with differnt books.Our book is called the Pigman its about a Guy and a girl telling their story about their teacher and how much fun that they had with him but he died so this book is their tribute to their teacher we have 3 or 2 more chapters before the end of  the book. We are doing our survival story in our blog I just started the story because I did a long introduction. We are doing our reading/writting buddies with Mrs.Reay. We are doing Novel studies our novel is called the knife of never letting go its a good book we are on the 35 chapter of the book  its getting intense and getting more and more great.

French

On French we did the twelve days of Christmas on christmas day 2012.Today we are doing the ER verbs for French we wrote down notes for the er verbs because on March 11,2013 we will have the test for this I kinda know the er verbs its just you have to change the ending for er,es and est for the words you, I , we , he , she and they..

Science

On science term one we were with Mr.Vaarmayer and we talked about the organisims of different animals and we had a little presentations about a few things we talked about I worked with Makayla and Kloie they helped me got information and type themthey helped me present and we got a 5 on our report cards today we are doing rocks we are talking about Metamorphic,Sedimentary and igneous rocks. we did a experiment on crystals we mixed salt , sugar and water we formed a little bit of crystal.

We had a few fieldtrips in different places. We went to festival de voyager in the very cold weather but its fun but its so cold and we rode on a sleigh on a horse. We talked about  how the voyagers came to land in our country. This T.A.A term I am in metals we built a basketball court and a spatula it took us the whole peroid just to finish it..  we went to our winter fun day its so fun and hurting at the same time its not that cold like the festival the voyager its more suunier and funner we wiped out so badly my back hurts at the end that day is such a fun day...








This term two was fun because we did a lot of fun things like going on fieldtrips and Mr.Harding makes learning fun.... Sorta




My goal for term two is to listen more, pay attention more and get my work done on time. My goal for learning is to practice Math more often and less tv and video games and eat less food.. I hope term three will be the same but more funner...

The knife of letting go was one of the best Teenage novel I've ever read.The knife of never letting go has three novel (trilogy). The first books was called Chaos walking. The second book was called the answers and the askings. The third book is called Monsters of men.The first book is about a boy named Todd and Todd is the only boy left from Prentisstown. Prentisstown has no women only a town ruled by a mean - mean mayor the mayors name is Mayor Prentiss. They try to get Todd because the mayor wants to complete his army by getting Todd.Ben and Cillian takes care of Todd because his parents died in the war when they came to New world.Todd has an adventure with his dog Manchee to a dangerous road to haven they met a girl along the way.

I really liked the story because you cant find a book this good before and probably we will finish the second book... I like the language of the book because they language of the book is slang and sometimes its hard to understand the spelling of the word..

Idle no more response

Idle no more

I have never heard of the Idle no more movement but when I saw the video what Idle no more is.Idle no more is a on going protest movement among the aboriginal poeple in Canada. Idle no more was a twitter post but now is it getting bigger and bigger even Los Angles and other countries are prostesting and holding up signs saying Idle no more and we want our  rights back.My opinion  is the government better do something about this give there rights and keep their promises for the treaty.
